Reverend Frank paid respect to Brad Dummer, a dedicated family man and treasured member of our community, saying, “Bradley E. Dummer, departed suddenly from illness on April 4, 2024, at his Pecatonica home.” Brad Dummer was a historic figure in the Pecatonica community who loved the people and his family. As one of his two normal lives, Bradley, who was just 45 years old, worked on his family farm and actively participated in local activities. It was Patrick Carr and Tim Terry from Liberty Lanes.
From Rockford to Pecatonica, an Agriculturally Originated Life
Brad was born on December 28th, 1959 in Rockford, IL. Kyle’s parents and grandparents, Craig and Cathy (Bean) Dumber, saw something special in the young guy at a pancake breakfast or free discussion. Following his graduation from Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy, Brad embarked on a prosperous career. He later married Kara Phillips, a resident of Pecatonica. After graduating, Bennie spent ten years working as a Pioneer Field Representative, securing generous financial assistance as well as free herbicide, fertilizer, and seed wherever he could. With the birth of their two children, Preston and Myrah, Brad Dummer and Kara Phillips tied the knot in 2012.
Following that, Brad Dummer continued to work at the family farm. As the creator and proprietor of Dummer Seed Services (DSS), he embarked on a new work path in 2014. This was the start of VerisTechnologies’s agricultural relationships. Along with his respectable social connections, Brad’s moral fiber and financial savvy on the farm earned him a legendary reputation.
Interaction with the Community and Individual Interests
Just enjoying Brad Dummer’s numerous awards and medals from his Westchester round-disparage was insufficient to make life satisfying.Nevertheless, his firsthand experience at Winnebago County Fairground inspired him to fully support local agricultural efforts and agriculture education. Although we don’t often see Brad when he calls in his videos, his contagious grin was the exact type of welcome we missed as a truck pullswoman. The passion Brad had to help others will live on in his memory.
A Legacy of Kindness and Love: Brad’s friends and family recalled him as a kind, compassionate, and intellectual individual who was always willing to lend a hand. Preston and Myrah, his brother Brian (Amber), his parents Craig and Cathy, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins all survive him in addition to his wife Kara. The grandparents of Brad predeceased him.The McCorkle Funeral Home – Pecatonica Chapel will host a funeral ceremony honoring Brad’s life on Saturday, April 13th at 11:00 AM. A visitation is scheduled for Friday, April 12 from 4 PM to 8 PM.
Instead of sending flowers, the family requests memorials.Numerous people are feeling empty within after Brad Dummer’s death. Tender recollections of Brad’s kindness, his unwavering friendship, and the happiness he filled their lives were expressed by friends like Tracy and Buck.
